BROWNSVILLE TN (April 23, 2018): Bluegrass music officially takes its place among the many events and festivals held annually at the West Tennessee Delta Heritage Center in Brownsville Tenn. The 2nd annual Hatchie Bottom Bluegrass Jamboree is Saturday, May 12. The free event will features bands from the Jackson, Tenn., based Golden Circle Opry. Stage performances will take place from 4 – 8 p.m.

“Bluegrass is an integral part of our music heritage,” said Sonia Outlaw-Clark, director of the Delta Heritage Center. “We feel it’s important to promote and showcase our bluegrass and string musicians.”

Featured bands returning for this year’s event includes Coley and Marilyn Graves and Friends of Bartlett, Tenn., Hatchie Bottom Boys of Corinth, Miss., and Providence Road of Jackson. Also joining the line-up is the Possum Road Band of Jackson. Shade tree pickers are invited to perform before and after the stage performances.

“Thank you to West Tennessee for making last year such a success,” said John Few, Golden Circle Opry producer. “Because of you, we’re bringing good ole bluegrass music back again to the Delta Heritage Center stage.”

There is limited bleacher seating and attendees are invited to bring their lawn chairs and blankets for more comfortable seating. Concessions will be available and basket weaving demonstrations will also be a part of this year’s offerings. The event occurs rain or shine.
