BROWNSVILLE TN (July 29, 2017): Concert on the Porch, a summer music series presented by the West Tennessee Delta Heritage Center, continues Saturday, August 19, with the original Americana/Roots music of singer/songwriters Tori Mason and Tucson Simpson duo. The outdoor concert begins at 6 p.m., on the porch of the Sleepy John Estes home, and is free to the public.

Tori Mason is a Kansas native who moved to Nashville in 1995 and began performing her original music at clubs and venues across Middle Tennessee. In 2010 and again in 2012, she gained new fans while touring in Scotland. Her folksy song style has been described as a cross between John Denver and Karen Carpenter and heavily influenced by the Indigo Girls, Jim Croce and James Taylor.
Memphis natives Graham Perry and Kevin Kilgore are singer/songwriters and members of the band Tucson Simpson. Their music is an eclectic mix of Delta Blues, commercial Pop and Roots Rock. They have enjoyed success on the Memphis club circuit and headlined the Memphis in May Barbecue Festival. Their 2010 CD, Rainshine, has earned numerous top 10 spots on college and community radio stations nationwide. Songs from that album have also been featured on TV shows including MTV’s Real World, VH-1’s Saddle Ranch and ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.

Bleacher seating will be available or you may bring a lawn chair or blanket. Classic car enthusiasts are also invited to cruise-in for the event.
