Phenomenal women speak Wisdom for the Ages

BROWNSVILLE TN (March10, 2018): “Wisdom for the Ages” will be the theme for the Delta Heritage Center’s annual Women’s History program, Saturday, March 24, at 3 p.m. Noted author, Haywood County native and cultural historian, Cynthia Bond Hopson, will host and facilitate a panel of local trailblazers and leaders.

This is the fourth year for the program led by Bond Hopson, whose books on Haywood County include The Women of Haywood: Their Lives, Our Legacy, Wiggle Tales and Times of Challenge and Controversy.

“These amazing women and their dynamic stories continue to uplift and inspire,” says Bond Hopson. “Every year I learn something that blesses my heart and I believe this year’s panelists will be a special treat for our community as we celebrate Women’s History Month.”

Panelists will include Martha Smith Harwell, Dr. Tamekia Dancy, Marjorie Vaulx, Evangelist Diane Reid, Maritza Cruz, Marcina Harris, Barbara Dedmon Flores, Daphne Nelson, Dr. Johnnetta Walker Neal and Dr. Clarice White.

The program will conclude with questions from the audience and Bond Hopson will be available to sign copies of her books. This is a free program and the public is invited.
