The Return of America’s Main Streets

Great changes came to America with the development of Big Box Stores, Shopping Centers, and of course, the Internet, but those things can never replace the charm and distinction of historic downtown business districts and the special detail to customer service they can provide.

Main Street Brownsville will work to encourage and enhance the “experience” of our Main Street District to local and outside visitors through our 4-point approach: Promotion, Design, Economic Revitalization, and Organization.

Bring People to Brownsville

The viability and sustainability of our businesses depends on foot traffic. We want to promote our Main Street District not only to locals, but to outside tourists! We will work with businesses to promote what they have to offer as well as plan and assist with special events and infrastructure projects that involve art, entertainment, and music among other things!
