Dining with Diabetes
The UT Extension Institute of Agriculture is presenting a free cooking school for people with diabetes and their caregivers.
The classes are free, but you must register by calling 731-772-2861. This is a “newbie” class for those who have not participated in a “Dining with Diabetes” class before. Space is extremely limited, so you are advised to register quickly.
The classes will be held on Tuesdays – June 13, June 20 & June 27 – from 5:30PM to 7:00PM at the UT/TSU Extension office at 100 S. Wilson Ave. in Brownsville.
Each session will include:

Tips on meal planning and carbohydrate counting
Tools for modifying recipes to make them healthier
Recipe demonstrations of diabetic-friendly foods
Taste-testing of main dishes, side dishes AND desserts
