Ghosts of Haywood presented October 29
BROWNSVILLE TN (October 18, 2021): Who doesn’t love a good ghost story, especially this time of year when the weather begins to cool and leaves begin to fall. Ghosts of Haywood will be presented Friday, October 29, 6 pm, at the Delta Heritage Center in Brownsville TN. Haywood County native, Jackson resident and author, d.n. english, will present the program of ghost stories she remembers hearing as a child and some she has experienced herself. The free event will be held outside, weather permitting, and is appropriate for all ages.
Legends and lore have been passed down through the ages. You know, those stories we first heard from our parents and grandparents, especially the ones meant to scare us into acting right or staying away from certain places. Are they true? Maybe. We certainly have our share of ghostly or unexplainable accounts in Haywood County.
“We are looking forward to having d in Brownsville and being able to share these Haywood County specific stories with everyone,” says Sonia Outlaw-Clark, director of the Delta Heritage Center.
English, who holds a degree in journalism and communications, is a retired private investigator, an avid researcher, previous owner of Main Street Publishing and author of 15 books. She continues to contribute to various publications including her own blog, HistoryandStoriesoftheHatchieRiver.com. As an active member of Mystery Writers of America and Parapsychologist of America, she enjoys bringing the accounts of ghosts and spirits to life in her unique storytelling fashion.
Attendees should bring a lawn chair and dress warmly for the event. The West Tennessee Delta Heritage Center is located at 121 Sunny Hill Cove in Brownsville, Tenn. For more information about the event, call the Center at 731-779-9000 or email [email protected].
