Notice Of Public Hearings

Pursuant to Tennessee Code Annotated Sections 6-51-102 (4), 6-51-104(b)(1)(A), and 13-7-203 notice is hereby given of a public hearing to be held by the Board of Mayor and Aldermen of the City of Brownsville on the 13th day of December, 2022 at 5:30 PM in the Council Chambers of the Brownsville City Hall. The hearing is to receive public
input on the following:

1. A resolution to annex approximately 177.6 acres on Anderson Avenue (Tax Parcel 018.00
Haywood County, Tax Map 087 owned by Matthew Simmons); and,
2. Resolution covering the Plan of Service for the annexation area; and,
3. An ordinance amending the City of Brownsville’s Municipal Zoning Map to zone Tax Parcel
018.00, Haywood County Tax Map 087 to Low Density Residential (R-1); and,
4. An ordinance amending the City of Brownsville Municipal Zoning Ordinance allowing
Communication Satellites within G-C (General Commercial) Districts as Uses Permitted on
Appeal; and,
5. An ordinance amending the City of Brownsville Municipal Zoning Map that rezones Tax
Parcels 13.00, 13.01, 12.00, Haywood County Tax Map 066P, Group “C” from R-1 (Low
Density Residential to R-TH (Townhouse); and Tax Parcels 22.00, 22.01, 22.02, 22.03, 22.04,
22.05, 22.06, 22.07, 22.08, 22.09, 22.10, 22.11, 22.12, 22.13, 22.14, 22.15, 22.16, and 22.17
from R-TH (Townhouse) to R-1a (Medium Density Single Family)
6. An ordinance amending the purchase & bid amounts

A full copy of the above-mentioned resolutions and ordinances may be viewed at the City Hall and the Brownsville Library during normal business hours. All interested persons are invited to attend and comment.
