BID SPECIFICATION

BIDS TO BE RECEIVED: APRIL 5, 2021
Sealed bids will be received by the City of Brownsville at their offices at 111 North Washington, Brownsville, TN 38012, until 10:00 AM CST, Monday, April 05, 2021 and opened publicly at 111 North Washington, Brownsville, TN 38012 at that hour. The reading of the bids will begin at 10:00 AM CST. You may turn in your bids to Sherry Batchelor at City Hall prior to the set time and date.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The project consists of reroofing of Fire Station #1/ Police Station /City Hall at N. Washington Ave., Brownsville, TN 38012. The roof replacement includes several prescriptive steps to address the water infiltration and the condition of key building components. The roof replacement will include a complete tear off of existing material down to the deck replacement of any rusted metal deck, new insulation, addition of tapered insulation in key areas, protection board and roof membrane. The replacement will also include removing the Precast Coping, anchoring in nailery to the top for the new Coping and adding a continuous prefinished metal coping. Piping running across the roof will be partially relocated, collected and supported on the roof. Building components to be addressed includes power washing the Brick, replacing some fascia, apparatus bay windows and adding associated roof curb, new flashings, reglets, reworked joints for the application of appropriate sealants and limited brick repointing.
A2h has put together a budget for the Fire Station #1/ Police Station /City Hall City hall roof replacement and its building components. Existing floor or roof plans are not available, and roof cores have not been made at this time. Therefore, Google maps was utilized to establish building areas.
