Phenomenal Women Speak during annual Women’s History program
BROWNSVILLE TN (March 4, 2020): Nine women will share their stories during the annual Women’s History program “Phenomenal Women Speak,” Saturday, March 14, 3 p.m., at the West Tennessee Delta Heritage Center in Brownsville. Noted author, Haywood County native and cultural historian, Dr. Cynthia Bond Hopson, will host and facilitate a panel of local trailblazers and leaders.
This is the sixth year for the program led by Bond Hopson, whose books on Haywood County include The Women of Haywood: Their Lives, Our Legacy, Wiggle Tales, Times of Challenge and Controversy, and her latest inspirational book Totally Gracefull.
“Each year the phenomenal women who live or work in Haywood County share wit and wisdom to bless our hearts and enrich our lives,” says Bond Hopson. “I know this year’s program will be just as inspiring as the previous five.”
Panelists will include Jamonica Farmer, Martha Lyle Ford, Latonya Jackson, Linda Jones, Jill Jordan, Della Ligon, Melba Mitchell, Shalondria Shaw and Viola Brown Taylor.
The program will conclude with questions from the audience and Bond Hopson will be available to sign copies of her books. This is a free program and the public is invited.
