By now you are aware that TN Governor Bill Lee’s Executive Order Nos. 17, 21, and 22 have issued pursuant to emergency authority under Tenn. Code Ann. § 58-2-107 to limit the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic. These Orders have the force of law and are in effect until 11:59 p.m. om Tuesday, April 14, 2020. The orders expressly prohibit establishments form being open for eating/drinking anywhere onsite. The Orders require closure of gyms and fitness/exercise centers, beauty salons, barbershops, beauty supply stores, retail (with no exclusive delivery/curb-side pick-up), etc. The Orders require that all NON-ESSENTIAL BUSINESSES/SERVICES close. Furthermore, persons in the State of Tennessee shall not participate in social gatherings of ten (10) or more people. VIOLATION OF AN EMERGENCY ORDER IS A CLASS A MISDEMEANOR (not more than 11 months, 29 days in prison and up to $2,500 fine).
