BIDS TO BE RECEIVED: APRIL 5, 2021
Sealed bids will be received by the City of Brownsville at their offices at 111 North Washington, Brownsville, TN 38012, until 10:00 AM CST, Monday, April 05, 2021 and opened publicly at 111 North Washington, Brownsville, TN 38012 at that hour. The reading of the bids will begin at 10:00 AM CST. You may turn in your bids to Sherry Batchelor at City Hall prior to the set time and date.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The project consists of reroofing of new City Hall at 15 East Main St., Brownsville, TN 38012. The roof replacement includes several prescriptive steps to address the water infiltration and preparation for future building use. The roof replacement will include a complete tear off of existing material down to the deck replacement of any rusted metal deck, new insulation, addition of tapered insulation in key areas, protection board and roof membrane. The replacement will also include removing the existing HVAC units/curbs and most pipe penetrations. Metal deck will be applied over existing HVAC openings.
The project includes the following types of work:
• Power wash EIFS
• Remove abandoned equipment and HVAC
• Remove roof membrane
• Remove Insulation
• Remove flashing, clean out weeps and existing reglets
• Replace any rust damages Metal Deck and apply metal Deck at demo’d HVAC units
• Install Polyiso insulation to obtain a minimum R value of 20 to meet current Energy Code requirements
• Cover insulation with High Density Protection Board
• Install 60 mil TPO Roof
• Apply Sealants
