Golden Age Center
Hours of operations: Mon – Fri 8 am – 2 pm
Provides Hot lunches daily
Activities Include:
- All types of games, example: Bingo, word games, Pinny Pitch, bean bag toss, Jeopardy, bubble wrap game, etc.
- Monthly movie and popcorn day
- Bible Study with speakers every Wednesday
- Round table discussions
- Monthly Birthday Celebrations (with cake & ice cream)
- Monthly Chat & Chew (everyone brings a dish and we chat about what is going on in the world, with entertainment)
- Monthly Day trips to a different restaurant each month
- Arts & Crafts
- Various speackers: Tn Dept of Health, Physical health, Health Education, Chamber Director, Nursing
- Homes, Ombudsman,
- Potluck once a month
- Celebrate each holiday in the month with decorations, ice cream and speaker
- Volunteer appreciation luncheon once a year
- Exercises 3 times each week, plus Tia-Chi provided by UT Extension
- Health fairs twice a year
- We also partner with different organizations to promote our Center
