Early Steps to School Success Program

Early Steps will provide early childhood education services to children birth – five years of age, education services to parents, and ongoing staff training to the early childhood educator involved in the program. This program is designed to assist children with early language development, social and emotional development, and equip parents with the skills and knowledge to successfully support their child’s growth.

Program Activities
• Two monthly home visits from an early childhood coordinator for expecting mothers and children up to 30 months
• Regular parent/child education groups
• Child play groups and storybook hours
• Book lending program for all enrolled children

Program Benefits
• Child(ren) enrolled will have the skills needed to succeed in school
• Support groups will build social, emotional and language development
• Parents will learn how to support child language development and pre-literacy education
• Transition to school activities will help you and your child connect to the early childhood center in which they will attend
