The Brownsville-Haywood County Chamber of Commerce announces Cheryl Cole as its new President & CEO.
“We (the Board of Directors) are more confident than ever that Cheryl is the right person at the right time to strengthen and build a prosperous economy for new and existing businesses in the Brownsville-Haywood County area”, stated Cedric Bunch Board Chairperson. “The Chamber is very excited to start our next chapter of growth with Cheryl Cole leading the way. We as a board are committed to supporting and growing with Ms. Cole”.
“Cheryl has come full circle. A Brownsville native that is back home bringing with her a vast knowledge of marketing, entrepreneurship, and public relations”, said Vice-Chairperson Sheronda Green. “I am pleased to have Cheryl at the helm of the Chamber”.
Cheryl has extensive Chamber of Commerce experience. She has worked as Area Representative for the United States Chamber, Ambassador with the Memphis Regional Chamber, a member of the Board of Directors for the Germantown Chamber, and team support at the Hollywood Chamber in Los Angeles, CA during the city’s renovation.
She began a startup business called, “The Memphis Events Calendar” targeting tourist & local consumers. From this idea, she achieved regional distribution for this product in TN, AR & MS.
“I am very excited about being a part of this great organization and the fulfillment of its many long-term goals. I appreciate the opportunity to grow the chamber, and thereby our community”, Cheryl said.
Cole fills an opening left by former President & CEO, Steve Hilton in September of 2019.
