Holiday shopping season kicks off November 11 in Brownsville
BROWNSVILLE, TN (November 1, 2016): Those looking for unique holiday gift items will have the perfect opportunity during the 9th Annual Holiday in Haywood two-day shopping mart planned for November 11-12, in Brownsville, Tenn. “Holiday in Haywood” will feature retail and specialty merchants all under one roof and offering a variety of items perfect for your holiday gift giving. There is no admission fee.
“If you’re looking to get a head start on your holiday shopping,” says Heather Smith, Holiday in Haywood coordinator, “this is the perfect place to start.”
This year’s event will be held at the Wyatt Duke National Guard Armory, 221 Morgan Street, and will open Friday from noon until 7 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m., giving shoppers plenty of time to make their choices.
Many of your favorite merchants will be back with handcrafted jewelry, all natural soaps and lotions, candles, homemade pies, cakes and other culinary goodies, ladies clothing, and wood-crafted items. New items this year includes one-of-a-kind doll clothes to fit American Girl, LulaRoe clothing, Usborne books, monogrammed apparel and custom hairbows, among many others.
Santa will make his first Brownsville appearance Saturday morning at 10 a.m., according to Smith. Parents are invited to bring your cameras to capture the moment. Plenty of paper will be on hand for your children to write their letters to Santa, too.
“Holiday in Haywood” is sponsored annually by the Brownsville Business Association. For more information about the event contact Smith at 731-780-0683, or visit www.facebook.com/HolidayinHaywood.
